Personal investigator Lucas Douglas (Michael Weston), a character influenced partly by Shore's really like with the Rockford Documents, appears in three episodes of Year 5. House originally hires Douglas to spy on Wilson, who may have ended their friendship right after Volakis' Demise (the friendship is subsequently rekindled). House later on pays
